Practitioners need to ensure that their knowledge and skills are regularly kept up to date. It is recommended that designated safeguarding leads within schools refresh their Level 3 knowledge every two years and other organisations it is anticipated colleagues update their level 3 every three years.

Please note that if you are booking from Education Services or from outside the Boroughs of Richmond and Kingston there will be a booking fee of £60

This course is for staff who have previously completed Level 2 and Level 3 safeguarding courses and are required to refresh their knowledge and skills. This training session will refresh participants understanding of the processes involved in child protection procedures, including statutory assessment. 

 

  Aim:

This course will focus on good practice and lessons learned in multi-agency child protection providing participants with an understanding of the function and processes of child protection.

  Learning Outcomes:

 This course will enable participants to:

  • Demonstrate their own knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children
  • Give examples of current developments in safeguarding practice and relate this to their own role
  • Describe their refreshed knowledge of relevant Child Protection policies and procedures
  Minimum Requirements:

Participants must have completed Level 2 and Level 3 safeguarding courses
